Dear Members,

It is with great sadness that we let you know of the passing of our Life Member, Simon Allen, over the weekend.

Simon was a much-loved member of the Cooma Golf Club community, and his passing has come as a great shock to many of us. He will be greatly missed by his friends and fellow members, and our thoughts are with Glenyss and Simon’s family at this very difficult time.

Simon’s funeral service will be held at Norwood Park Crematorium on Tuesday 25 August at 3.00pm. Simon will be cremated following the service, with light refreshments to follow. Everyone is very welcome to attend and pay their respects to Simon and his family.

There will also be an informal memorial service at Cooma Golf Club on Wednesday 26 August at 2.00pm. Light refreshments will be provided, and everyone is invited to join us as we remember Simon and share stories and memories with Glenyss and his family.

We hope that gathering together at the Club will provide an opportunity for Simon’s many friends within our golfing community to celebrate his life and the contribution he made to our Club.
