Charlie Beaumont Memorial Junior Open
The Charlie Beaumont Memorial Junior Open, proudly sponsored by Hip Pocket Workwear Cooma, will be held at Cooma Golf Club on Sunday, 9th November. The event is open to all junior golfers with an official handicap, with a 6-Hole Event also available for younger players without handicaps. It’s always a fantastic day celebrating junior golf and the next generation of players, while also honouring Charlie’s contribution to the game and our local golfing community. Twilight Golf is Back!
Our popular Friday Twilight Golf is up and running again and will continue every Friday afternoon right through to Christmas. Tee times start from 3.30pm, and the format is a fun 2-Person Ambrose, open to members and non-members — no handicap required. Entry is $15 per person, which includes a sausage sizzle after golf, and the bar will be open throughout the afternoon. It’s a relaxed and social way to finish the week, so grab a friend, book a tee time, and don’t forget to reserve a cart.
New Dam at the 2nd Tee
Work has recently been completed on the new dam in front of the 2nd tee, another great improvement to our course. Once the area is fully finished and marked, normal golf rules for water hazards will apply. A huge thank you to Mark Burke from Burke’s Plant Hire for his outstanding work and continued support of Cooma Golf Club — this project is another fantastic enhancement to our course presentation and playability.
Volunteers Green Jacket Day
We’re excited to announce the inaugural Volunteers Green Jacket event, to be held on Saturday, 29th November. This special day is open to all volunteers who have generously donated their time to Cooma Golf Club throughout the 2025 calendar year. Tee times have been reserved exclusively for this prestigious event, and the inaugural winner will earn the honour of wearing the Volunteers Green Jacket. Following play, there will be a BBQ for all volunteers to celebrate the incredible contribution everyone has made to the club. If you’re eligible and would like to take part, please contact Angela or Tom Stewart to register your spot.
Snowy Mountains Skins Tournament
Rounds 1–4 of our Skins Tournament have now been completed, with some great scores recorded and the leaderboard really starting to take shape. Round 5 will be played this Saturday, so there’s still plenty of opportunity to climb the rankings. A reminder that it’s your best six rounds that count towards your overall points tally, so every shot still matters! The top 4 after Round 10 will play in the Skins Tournament Final on Saturday, 22nd November — good luck to everyone competing over the coming weeks.
