Sprinkler Heads - Greens & Tees
DO NOT STEP ON THE SPRINKLER HEADS!!!
If you step on a sprinkler head while it is operating, it wrecks the gears and destroys the sprinkler head. We have had to replace a large number of sprinkler heads this year and the club cannot afford to keep replacing them every time someone steps on them and destroys the gears.
If the sprinkler is going when you are ready for your tee shot or putt, simply wait until it tracks away from where you want to tee up. BE PATIENT. Do not step on the sprinkler head!
If you are playing a social round, you can avoid the sprinkler by teeing up in front of the tee box.
Captain vs. Presidents Cup & Ham Hit Out
There will be a team event played in conjunction with the Ham Hit Out on Saturday 14th December - the Captain vs. Presidents Cup.
Players are divided into two teams - the Captain’s team and the Presidents team. Teams are as per the booking sheet - players in column 1 and 3 will be on the Captain’s team and players in column 2 and 4 will be on the President’s team.
Matchups are Column 1 vs. Column 2 and Column 3 vs. Column 4.
Each player plays an individual round using normal Stableford scoring. The player in each matchup with the highest Stableford score will win their matchup and earn 1 point for their team.
The team with the most points will win the Cup and each team member will be eligible to claim a free beverage from the bar on the day.
The Ham Hit Out will be run in conjunction with the Captain vs. Presidents Cup with the overall winner In each grade winner taking home a Christmas Ham.
A presentation for all the trophies won throughout the year will take place after the golf with bar snacks provided by the club. If you are not playing golf that day we hope to see you at the presentation.
