4BBB Match Play

4BBB Match Play is starting this month. We are still looking for more teams to play - if you are interested in registering a team please reply to this newsletter or let Tom Stewart (or Angela Andrews) know - as soon as possible please.

4BBB Match Play is played in teams of 2, if you haven’t played it before don’t worry it’s very simple to understand and can be played in conjunction with (most) normal competitions. You can also play outside of normal competitions if you choose.

Once all the teams have been submitted we will release a draw and you can start organising matches.

Australian Masters Games

Canberra is hosting the Masters Games this year and Golf is included as a sporting event. Registration is now open via the Australian Masters Games website : https://australianmastersgames.com/

Golf & Bowls Day - Save The Date!

There are plans to run a Golf & Bowls Day which will be comprised of 9 holes of golf in the morning followed by lunch and 10 ends of bowls at the Cooma Bowling Club in the afternoon. The tentative date we are working on is Saturday 13th September. More details to follow!

Coursework - Burning Off

There are a number of burn piles and areas that will be burnt off over the next month as weather permits. Permits and control measures will be in place as necessary. If anyone has any concerns about any burn offs at the golf club please contact the Club Secretary Angela 0438 419 142.

Changes to Pro Shop & Ball Rundown for Comps

There are some changes to the way balls are sold and given out for ball rundowns in competitions.

If you win a ball in a golf competition you may choose any ball from the balls marked with the number 1. If you win 2 balls, you may choose a ball from the balls marked with the number 2. Please don’t forget to cross your name off the ball rundown when you redeem your balls.

Individual balls are no longer for sale, if you wish to purchase balls they can be purchased in a sleeve of 3 or a box (of 12). Prices are marked accordingly.

Bermagui Blue Marlin Classic

The Bermagui Blue Marlin Golf Classic is being held from 6th to 14th of September. There are many events across the week for both men and women with official golf handicaps - details in the flyers below.
