Drop Zone - 11th Tee

During stroke rounds there is a compulsory drop if you hit your ball into the water off the 11th tee. The drop zone is located next to the front tee box (where the red tees are located).

Stroke Play - Maximum Score (Rule 21.2b)

The Committee has voted to introduce a “Maximum Score” rule for stroke play (only).

During stroke play, a player’s maximum score for a hole shall be five over par gross score.

If a player’s score for a hole reaches or exceeds the maximum, they can pick up their ball and record the maximum score for that hole. The player cannot be disqualified for picking up their ball once the maximum stroke number has been reached.

This rule applies to all stroke play except Club Championships and Opens.

To clarify - on a par 3, the maximum score is 3+5 = 8. Therefore, once a player gets to 8 strokes, they pick up and put an 8 on their score card. Similarly, for a par 4, the maximum is 4+5 = 9. On a par 5, the maximum is 5+5 = 10.

Catering Equipment

A number of containers and other items (eg chopping boards) have gone missing from the club kitchen in recent months. This has impacted our ability to cater for functions and social golf groups.

No-one is to remove containers or anything else from the kitchen or storeroom, for any reason.

If you have any club containers or equipment in your personal possession please return them promptly.
